Born in Divinópolis, Cleide, knows São Gonçalo for about 20 years, and got enchanted with the receptiveness of the residents in São Gonçalo. She was also attracted by the natural landscape in São Gonçalo do Rio das Pedras and its view of Espinhaço Mountain. Previously worked with tourism at Diamantina’s Tourism Department with cultural events organization.

You can learn recipes of local cuisine and rural recipes such as chicken with pequi, with one of the best cooks in the region. Cleide also likes to photograph and listening to stories about the different lifestyle of every traveler.

Pousada do Pequi works not only for preserving the "Cerrado"and the Pequi trees, but also for identifying Cerrado species. You can enjoy your stay and learn more about the region's endemic species. Your host has also been working as an articulator of group discussions, which aim at helping the community management of tourism and monitoring the production of sweets and handicrafts performed by locals.
