Pousada do Capão is an ideal place for those who are looking for peace and relaxation. The main lodge of the Pousada do Capão was built in the rustic style of a colonial farmhouse and is decorated with an eclectic mix of both Brazilian and European antiques. The property consists of a fabulous nine-acre nature preserve with a panoramic view of "the oceans of Minas", the mountains of the Serra do Espinhaço. A special garden is planted with many trees native to the cerrado and hammocks and benches invite you to enjoy a good read, a great view, a fabulous sunset, or a restful nap.
One of the high-points at the Pousada do Capão is the cuisine. The chef-owner and his local team serve a creative and varied menu that ranges from the best of traditional Mineiran fare to authentic international dishes often reinterpreted with Brazilian ingredients. The freshest produce from organic village gardens, the best cheese from Serro, fruit from the pousada orchard make the difference. Even the jams, liqueurs, and typical spoon sweets served for desset are made on site.

- Children from 4 to 11 years old are charged 50% of the daily adult rate.
- Children 12 years old and up pay the full daily adult rate.
- 50% deposit of the booking value must be paid in advance to confirm your reservations. You will be notified by email. 100% deposit will be required for holiday packages.
- Deposit deadlines will be determined at the time of reservations. The reservations will be cancelled if the deposit is not received within the determined timeframe.
- No charge for reservations cancelled more than 7 days prior to the arrival date. The deposit will be refunded.
- Reservations are held for late arrival. In case of no-show on the confirmed date of arrival and without prior communication, the remaining reservations will be automatically cancelled.
- Payment will not be refunded in case of departure prior to the confirmed reservation departure date.
