The Hospedagem Familiar da Sra. Magda has a charming colonial style that presents both the colonial and the modern characteristics of Serro. The building has 2 floors. The first floor is used as a medical office and the second floor as a residence.
Many objects and antique furniture are a part of the décor. All the profits from the accommodation service go to the "Ação Social da Pastoral das Crianças e Jovens" fund, which is a Religious Organisation that provides social services to children and teens and also offers support to the community.

The owners offer breakfast, which is prepared in the kitchen by the hosts. Guests have the option of visiting the family's farm, which lies about 25 km from Serro, and learn about the process of making Cachaça (Brazilian rum) and enjoy the tranquility of the rural area.
The owners are also ready to accompany guests to the many places of tourist attractions and share their knowledge of history with the guests.
